BSc (Hons), MPsych (Clin Neuro)/PhD Candidate, MAPS
Kristian has clinical experience across a range of contexts, with clients at different life stages. This experience includes cognitive characterisation in children and adults, as well as diagnosis of neurological and neurodevelopmental disorders across the adult lifespan. He has practised in inpatient, outpatient, and external clinic settings.

Kristian's main area of research interest focuses on understanding how and why we respond emotionally to music. In particular, his PhD involves investigating the influence of music listening on arousal, and associated impacts on emotion and autobiographical memory. He has also worked on an Australian Research Council-funded study exploring the genetics of singing ability.
Alongside his work in music neuroscience and psychology, Kristian is also interested in the development of rehabilitation approaches for community living individuals with acquired brain injury (ABI). His ongoing work with the Monash Epworth Rehabilitation Research Institute explores the lived experience, and clinical translation of Positive Behaviour Support for community-living individuals with ABI and their close other family members, friends and carers.
