Dr Honor Coleman

Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist

MPsych (Clin Neuro)/PhD, MAPS

Honor is a clinical neuropsychologist who works with people living with a range of neurological disorders, partcularly seizure disorders (including epilepsy and psychogenic non-epileptic seizures (PNES)). She has experience working across private and public settings, and in both conducting neurocognitive assessments and providing ongoing psychological therapy and rehabilitation interventions.

 

At Neuropsychology East Melbourne, Honor provides psychological therapy as an intervention for the psychological comorbidities of epilepsy and functional neurological disorder (FND), including PNES. She works primarily within Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) framework but also incorporates aspects of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). 

 

Honor recently completed her PhD, which focussed on the psychosocial comorbidities of epilepsy and on the impact of undergoing epilepsy surgery on psychosocial functioning. She has also worked previously in the not-for-profit sector, developing an understanding of supports available in the broader community.
