Andrea is a clinical psychologist with extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of mental health problems following trauma, and she has worked in both acute crisis and continuing care settings across the public and private mental health sectors.

Alongside her role at Neuropsychology East Melbourne, she is also a senior clinical specialist and researcher at Phoenix Australia – Centre for Posttraumatic Mental Health. Andrea’s preferred models of therapy are Prolonged Exposure for PTSD and the Unified Protocol for Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders.

Her research work explores the role of emotion regulation in complex posttrauma presentations. Andrea has a special interest in emotion theory, the mechanisms of alexithymia and atypical interoception on treatment response.
